Hesitating about booking a photography session? I think I've heard every line out there so this is my top 5 list for why you don't want to book a photography session. 

1. You're hesitant to book a session because you think your kids won't cooperate.

2. Your husband not a fan of photo shoots.

3. You're worried that you need to lose weight. 

4. You don't want to shop for outfits. 

5. You don't have time. 

Guess what?! Don't worry about all of that! Life is what it is, right?! I have wrangled my fair share of energetic kids, unhappy husbands, worried mamas, and let's not forget about nervous animals... dogs, cats, cows, etc. I do my best not to rush your session, but rather stay on task. We get it done, all while having fun creating beautiful lasting memories. I love a challenge!

I totally get it with the husbands that are not fans of getting their photos taken. One thing that I hear a lot from husbands is that "it wasn't bad...I thought it would be longer" when having a family session. Even the family portion of a newborn session isn't very long as I try to make it as painless as possible, while capturing the emotion of the session.

Now, about losing weight. Love yourself the way you are. Not one person out there is perfect, and that's ok. This is your life and your family, be in the pictures. 

Don't want to shop? I have you covered, literally! My client closet has women's dresses, men's shirts, and kids clothing. 

Now, don't wait to book that session. Exist in photos, not just memories.

This newborn session was so precious! Such a pretty little face with perfectly chubby cheeks. This session was all about her, just baby girl alone. I met her mama and her siblings at my Santa sessions, where I noticed mom had a baby bump but didn't say anything. She contacted me to book the newborn session shortly after and I'm so happy she did! 

We used a few of my many props, the beautiful pink flokati, some of my favorite knit sets and wraps. This little girl is going to be spoiled I'm sure. So happy I was able to be her newborn photographer.

While I have a pretty big maternity gown, dress, body suit, fabric, and more collection, this dress puts the cherry on top! It can be worn so many different ways and it's so soft. All of the mamas that have worn it so far tell me it's very comfortable. Just look at the photos to see the ways we styled it, but I'm sure there are so many more ways it cane be worn. Over the shoulder, tied around the neck, wrapped around your arms, and much more. 

Since there are so many ways to wear it, it looks as if it's a new dress every time. The designer will be adding more colors but I'm not sure when. I hope soon! In the meantime, it's in the client closet for all to use.

Baby Brooks came in for a newborn session and holy moly is he cute! His beautiful mama said they had been on quite the journey to have this perfect little dude. This is one that is truly worth the wait! 

For this session I used some of my new items. If you didn't know already, I'm obsessed with newborn props, wraps, etc. The wrap and bonnet combo on the little bed is sooooo soft. I love it so much! Also, the little wrap and bonnet in the bucket was perfect. In love!

Who doesn't love a mama and her baby?! Just look at them. The love just pours out of her for this precious little being. 

Reminder to book your newborn session as soon as you're in your second trimester. Sometimes I can get you in later along, but I can't guarantee it. Even if you just want to chat about it, hit me up with the contact button.

Family photo shoot in the woods, yes please! This mama said she wanted a place with water and greenery so I suggested a beautiful park in Austin, MN. You all know it, it's called J. Hormel Nature Center. The forest, a creek, a bridge, and wild flowers. ahhh! Well, being a newbie here in the area I'm still getting to know my way around but I don't need to look far because this place is amazing!!!!

We took a little hike through the woods on a gorgeous day for this little family's photo shoot. When you look over the photos, I hope you can see a story. I love when I get posed images, because it's great to have everyone looking at the camera, but I also want it to be a story held in time. Cute little Gia might not remember being at the park for this lovely session, but I'm sure that she will love looking at these later in life thinking how lucky she is to have her adorable parents in these photos.
