Hey! When you think of a newborn girl session, what do you think of? I think of pretty details on headbands, elegant bonnets, and beautiful colors.

Meet Gemma! Isn't this baby girl just a dream!? She's so pretty with those chubby cheeks and beautiful hair. Her newborn session was a model call to photograph some of the new items that I purchased. You see, I've had a LOT of baby boys for the last several years. So, I posted and her mama contacted me for this short session so I could get photos of these new beautiful items.

When we design your session, sometimes it's easier for you to visualize what you want to incorporate with in use photos. Some are very visual and know exactly what they want, while others have no clue and go for neutrals to keep it simple. OR, you can just let me do all of the designing and be surprised. haha! Either way, I'm sure you'll love the turn out since it's of your baby.

Don't forget to book your session with me as early as possible. I book up fast but don't let that scare you if you didn't know. I might be able to fit you in, just reach out.

Hey! What do you think about when you hear maternity session? Do you think about family? Do you think about mom and dad? Well, I think about all of that. Maternity photo shoots obviously include mom because she's the pregnant one, but we cannot forget dad and other children. This is a celebration of having a baby and capturing the beautiful thing a woman's body can do!

Did you know that I take photos in the studio and outdoors for maternity sessions? This mama was excited for both, even though the outdoor portion was really windy and cold. She is pregnant with her second baby and wanted to capture the beauty of being pregnant.

Plus, I have a large client closet with gowns, dresses, fabrics, body suits, and more for your maternity session. And I don't leave dad or the littles out because I have shirts for men and clothes for kids. Of course you are able to wear your own, but if you don't feel like shopping, this works out well. We go over this in your design appointment.

For having part of your session outdoors, I have a few locations that I like to use near the studio. But, we can plan accordingly and drive to other locations. It all depends on what you want your outdoor background / surrounding area to look like. We will also discuss this in your design appointment.

Although I said earlier that this outdoor session was cold and windy, I think a storm was rolling in, it was so good!! What an adorable family they are!!

Hi there! Here is a maternity session for ya! Every session is different, every session makes me so happy! This beautiful mama, Bianca, was so happy to be having her second baby. When we were designing her session, she wanted to be sure it wasn't just about her because family is so important. Azul, her first son, didn't want anything to do with the gold leaf, but that's ok because the series of photos are so good.

The first part of the session was at my studio. I have many gowns, dresses, body suits, and fabrics that can be used. This way you focus on the session and your life, rather than having to shop for items you might only wear to this maternity photo shoot.

Then, we went to a gorgeous outdoor location just before sunset. It was the perfect end to the session.

Meet baby Rome here: Rome!

Hey there! It's Michelle, your maternity and newborn photographer. Meet Rome! He is seriously a mini me of his big brother. His big brother's name is Azul. I love how unique they are! They both have big chubby cheeks and perfect skin. I'm in love!

I'm not sure I even blogged about the maternity session I had with Rome's mama?! Oh boy! I have some catching up to do. They are the sweetest family and I just love them.

Yes, because we can get all of the session planning complete and you can do all of the other things you need to do before baby arrives. Hesitating about booking a photography session? I think I've heard every line out there so this is my top 5 list for why you don't want to book a photography session. 

1. You're hesitant to book a session because you think your kids won't cooperate.

2. Your husband not a fan of photo shoots.

3. You're worried that you need to lose weight. 

4. You don't want to shop for outfits. 

5. You don't have time. 

Guess what?! Don't worry about all of that! Life is what it is, right?! I have wrangled my fair share of energetic kids, unhappy husbands, worried mamas, and let's not forget about nervous animals... dogs, cats, cows, etc. I do my best not to rush your session, but rather stay on task. We get it done, all while having fun creating beautiful lasting memories. I love a challenge!

I totally get it with the husbands that are not fans of getting their photos taken. One thing that I hear a lot from husbands is that "it wasn't bad...I thought it would be longer" when having a family session. Even the family portion of a newborn session isn't very long as I try to make it as painless as possible, while capturing the emotion of the session.

Now, about losing weight. Love yourself the way you are. Not one person out there is perfect, and that's ok. This is your life and your family, be in the pictures.
