Baby girl Charolette came in for her newborn session. What a sweet baby! She was so content and adorable. Barely a peep when changing or wrapping. The session was family, sibling, and then baby alone.

Her big brother was so proud. Although the baby is the focus of a newborn session, I can't forget about the siblings. This is such a big deal for them because they are no longer the main focus, baby is competition. This new little being has come along and needs all the attention that was once focused on them. Of course, they have a new baby to love, and be the bestest of friends with, that's the great part. But, for this little blip in time, during the newborn session, I focus on them. Getting some laughs and smiles make my day.

Check this adorable couple out! Mama is a vet tech and dad works in road construction. Plus, they have 3 dogs at home; their first kids. ;) The entire session was a blast. We laughed, walked around enjoying the beauty of the park, and laughed some more. We heard some barred owls, saw a mama deer with her twin fawns, and saw a beautiful sunset.

Oh, my little pop up tent came in handy once again, because, as you can see mama has 3 different dresses on. She was able to swap dresses in the pop up tent. AND, all of these dresses are from my client closet (Client Closet) that is there for you to use if you want. She looks so beautiful!!

Well, baby boy, I'm excited for your arrival. Maybe I can convince your mama and daddy to bring the dogs to the studio for some mugshots. Yes, I do mugshot photos (just a sort of headshot) at newborn photo sessions. I can picture it now in the nursery, 4 mugshots. You know, baby boy and his dog siblings. <3

Family photo shoot in the woods, yes please! This mama said she wanted a place with water and greenery so I suggested a beautiful park in Austin, MN. You all know it, it's called J. Hormel Nature Center. The forest, a creek, a bridge, and wild flowers. ahhh! Well, being a newbie here in the area I'm still getting to know my way around but I don't need to look far because this place is amazing!!!!

We took a little hike through the woods on a gorgeous day for this little family's photo shoot. When you look over the photos, I hope you can see a story. I love when I get posed images, because it's great to have everyone looking at the camera, but I also want it to be a story held in time. Cute little Gia might not remember being at the park for this lovely session, but I'm sure that she will love looking at these later in life thinking how lucky she is to have her adorable parents in these photos.

Hey there, mama!! I’ve noticed a trend lately with newborn photography. Can you guess what I’m talking about? Well, it’s neutral colors that are super popular right now! Not only have I been seeing this trend, most of my color requests are for neutrals. While I love neutrals, I was happy when this mama told me she wanted yellow and pink! These colors can be tricky with certain skin tones but this baby was perfect for them!!

This adorable little girl is already a hit because she is first baby girl in this family. She has two older brothers that very much love her, as you can see in the photos. Her oldest brother held her so well as the younger brother just looked her over. Plus, mom and dad are enamored by her! With a calm demeanor, beautiful skin, and the longest pretty eyelashes this baby girl was perfect at her session.

So, mama, don’t miss out on these moments. Getting professional portraits done of an age that is gone within a flash is so important. I am safety trained and have years of experience. Hey! Need something to wear to your newborn, baby, maternity, family, or couples photo shoot? A few years ago I started a client closet because I get asked "what should I wear?" 99% of the time. I've also heard that it's not ideal to go shopping for a photo shoot, as it can get overwhelming. I get it, and that is exactly why I started shopping for you. I have the best dresses, gowns, body suits, etc. AND, I do have more than what is pictured, as well as new items always coming in.

Want your session in the studio or outdoors? Either way, you can wear anything from the client closet to your session in the studio or outdoors. With the lifestyle area that I have in the studio, as well as backdrops, you're all set! And for outdoors, everything goes well there too!

What about the rest of the family? Well, I have a little client closet too! My little client closet runs from newborn to 5T for boys and newborn to 14 for girls. For the bigger boys and men I suggest coordinating with whatever you select, and I can help with that as needed.
