This newborn session was so precious! Such a pretty little face with perfectly chubby cheeks. This session was all about her, just baby girl alone. I met her mama and her siblings at my Santa sessions, where I noticed mom had a baby bump but didn't say anything. She contacted me to book the newborn session shortly after and I'm so happy she did! 

We used a few of my many props, the beautiful pink flokati, some of my favorite knit sets and wraps. This little girl is going to be spoiled I'm sure. So happy I was able to be her newborn photographer.

While I have a pretty big maternity gown, dress, body suit, fabric, and more collection, this dress puts the cherry on top! It can be worn so many different ways and it's so soft. All of the mamas that have worn it so far tell me it's very comfortable. Just look at the photos to see the ways we styled it, but I'm sure there are so many more ways it cane be worn. Over the shoulder, tied around the neck, wrapped around your arms, and much more. 

Since there are so many ways to wear it, it looks as if it's a new dress every time. The designer will be adding more colors but I'm not sure when. I hope soon! In the meantime, it's in the client closet for all to use.

Are you looking an amazing maternity experience? A photo shoot to document your pregnancy? A one stop shop, so to speak? That's where I come in. I want you to simply enjoy your pregnancy so let me do the work.

Kendall booked her maternity and newborn session with me. As first-time parents, Kendall and her husband hadn't been through any of this before. She came in to try items on from the client closet about a week before the session. I love everything she selected! Everything that you see her wearing are items that you can wear, too! Her session was so beautiful. It's funny that I'm writing this blog post now, as she just texted me that her baby girl Charley was born on the 23rd. It goes to show that I'm not very good about blog posts. haha! So excited to meet their baby girl!

Below are so of the common questions for a maternity session.

Should I have my maternity session inside or outside? How about both! We can start at the studio and then end outdoor with the golden hour before sunset. No matter the time of year, outdoor is always possible, even if it's just for a few in the winter.

What would I wear? No need to worry about shopping, unless you really want to! I have a complementary client closet for the entire family. Beautiful designer gowns, dresses, body suits, fabrics, and more. Plus, I have men's shirts and a client closet for the littles. Bonus, I have a pop-up tent for changing so don't worry about only wearing one item!

What about hair and makeup? You can do your own, or I have someone that can come to the studio and take care of it for you.

When should I have my session? I recommend between 28-34 weeks. The main reason for this is that the further along you are, the more you want to take it easy. Plus, between 28-34 weeks is a perfect pregnant belly and usually you feel pretty good.

When should I book my session? Book it as soon as you hit your second trimester. Booking in the first trimester is ok too. But don't wait too long as I fill up fast. Hit that contact me button so we can get you on the calendar!

Welcome to my blog! I'm a southern MN photographer that specializes in maternity, newborn, and family photography. 

Brielle had her first birthday session at the studio! Everything was perfect and wow is she adorable. Her mama wanted to include extended family so that's where we started. Then we got some of big brother alone before Brielle alone. Well, Brielle thought that cake was amazing, and when it was taken away, she wasn't too happy (see the photos). haha! 

When you think of a first birthday photo shoot, do you think of cake? I know I do! But I also think it's important to have portraits at this age without the cake and balloons. So much growth in just one year happens so we put some cute outfits on from my client closet and get the sweetest images!

We start with family photos, which helps ease into baby alone. I have a lifestyle bed area and a backdrop area that we use. Then it's time for portraits of baby alone using props such as a little bed, bucket, basket, etc. I have many to choose from and we use more than one. Once the portraits are finished, we get to the cake! I go all out with a custom balloon garland in the colors you select with a white backdrop and floor. We finish with bath time in an adorable claw foot tub. 

Book your milestone sessions now so that we can be sure you get on the schedule before your baby's birthday. If it works out with your baby's birthday party, you can take the balloon garland home for decoration.

I have a faux cake, lots of cloths in the client closet, and tons of props.

Adorable newborn twins came to the studio! This family must be both thrilled and exhausted with twice the diaper changes and feedings. Plus, they have a toddler! Working with twins has always been so much fun and these girls were no exception. You would think it would be twice the work, making it twice as hard, but I think most of the time twins are just as easy as one baby. With these girls, one was so laid back while the other wanted to be awake so she didn't miss anything. I loved it and I hope to get more twins in soon!
